SC Awards Europe 2025: Shortlist Announced

The shortlisted names for the 28 categories have been named.

The shortlist for this year’s SC Awards Europe has been announced.

With a total of 28 awards set to be announced on Tuesday 3rd June at the Awards Ceremony in London, this year will see four new categories awarded:

  • Best Biometric Solution
  • Best SaaS Solution
  • Best New Company
  • CSO/CISO of the Year

Dan Raywood, senior editor of SC Media UK, said: “The SC Awards Europe are to be announced in two months time, and it’s a pleasure to see so many new and familiar names included in this year’s shortlist.

“There was definitely an opportunity to bring new categories in this year, and I’m particularly interested in the winners of these, as we’ve included Identity and Access Management over the years, but now included the more specific category of Best Biometric Solution.”

Returning Categories

This year’s categories include those awards for outstanding technology, as well as for Industry Leadership, and the Professional Awards also sees the return of the ‘CSO/CISO of the Year’ award, and the Rising Star and Woman of Influence awards return.

Last year’s awards saw Crowdstrike scoop five awards, while Egress, Qualys, Proofpoint and Arctic Wolf were among the other winners. A special recognition award was also given posthumously to Professor Fred Piper. Full details on last year’s winners are detailed in our special section here.

The SC Awards Europe website can be found here, where full details on attending the Awards Ceremony can be found.

“I’ve had the pleasure of attending the Awards over the years, and last year chaired and opened the evening for the second time, and I’m really looking forward to another night where we recognise the best of the best,” Raywood said.
