Russia’s mounting aggression on the Ukrainian border is not the only source for global alarm. The Kremlin is also thought to be waging a more surreptitious – and arguably even more damaging – war in cyberspace.
Russia is alleged to have staged a cyber attack on key Ukrainian government websites in January, and experts believe there could be more to come as the potential conflict unfolds.
The Kremlin has been blamed for numerous cyber attacks in recent years, including one in Ukraine in 2015 that shut down power stations.
