Move aims to challenge SIEM model with move into MDR space.
Zscaler has finalized its $675 million acquisition of Red Canary.
Marking a strategic expansion into security operations and aiming to challenge the traditional SIEM model, Zscaler CEO Jay Chaudhry said it isn’t looking to compete with MDR providers, but to leverage Red Canary’s capabilities alongside those from Avalor - a security data fabric firm acquired in March - to deliver advanced SecOps functionality.
Red Canary, a major player in managed detection and response, will operate as a standalone division within Zscaler, bringing deep expertise in threat detection and response.
