UK Cyber Chiefs Say Ties With CISA Remain Strong

NCSC leaders downplayed any disruption following Donald Trump's return to office.

Despite political turmoil in the U.S., the UK's NCSC says its relationship with CISA remains firm.

NCSC leaders downplayed any disruption following Donald Trump's return to office, with CTO Ollie Whitehouse calling the transatlantic partnership "unwavering." NCSC Chief Operating Officer Felicity Oswald echoed that sentiment, emphasising continued collaboration during a recent CISA visit.

This comes as the Trump administration faces criticism for undercutting CISA, proposing deep budget cuts, dismantling the Cyber Safety Review Board, and questioning its mission.

Still, NCSC officials stressed that CISA remains a "key partner," and CISA reaffirmed the strength of its international alliances. "Cybersecurity requires nations to work across borders," the agency told The Register.
