Social services organisation the Belfast Trust is currently investigating a data breach after pictures were taken of patients' details through the window of an office.
The incident took place at the Rathlin Outpatients ward of the Knockbracken Health Centre, when someone entered the grounds and took pictures through an open window of an office where patients' personal details were visible on a desk, BelfastLive reports.
A Belfast Health and Social Care Trust spokesperson said: "We take the protection of our patients’ data extremely seriously and this incident is currently being further investigated.
“We are liaising with the PSNI in order to investigate how this information was obtained."
The Knockbracken Health Centre is open to the public and its grounds can be accessed by anyone.
