High street retailer Shoe Zone has issued a notice of a “cybersecurity incident.”
In a notice, Shoe Zone said it had been the subject of a cyber incident, which has resulted in unauthorised access to certain online systems and data.
“On becoming aware of the incident, the Company enacted its established IT security protocols and took immediate steps to stop the unauthorised access to its systems and data” the notification stated.
It has also engaged third party consultants to investigate the nature and extent of the incident, and to implement its incident response plan.
“Shoe Zone takes the issue of data security extremely seriously, and any affected individuals will be notified as appropriate and in accordance with applicable regulations.” The company said it does not anticipate any financial impact from the incident, and it is focused on remaining operational.
