New categories include recognition of SaaS and biometric products.
Nominations for entry for the 2025 SC Awards Europe have been opened.
After a successful year, which saw 28 awards dished out at the awards night in London last June, this is your chance to win a prestigious award, the finalists of which will be announced at an event next June 3rd.
Dan Raywood, senior editor of SC Media UK, said: “It's a pleasure to announce the launch of this year's SC Awards Europe. After the success of the 2024 awards, where we saw huge numbers of entries once again, this year we're looking to provide opportunities for smaller businesses to shine, for the rising stars of our industry to be recognised, and for the wider industry to be considered for an award. We look forward to receiving your nominations!"
Revamped Categories
This year we have increased and revamped the categories, including splitting several to ensure that small business vendors can be recognised too. Also the price for entry for our Rising Star has been dropped for those entrants who enter another category, to encourage more businesses to enter their younger and aspiring employees for this award.
Also new categories have been added for 2025:
Best Biometric Solution
Best SaaS Solution
Best New Company
CSO/CISO of the Year
With an increased number of awards, this year we will feature two judges as co-chair: Ian Thornton-Trump and Robert Rodger.
Thornton-Trump, CTO of Octopi Research Labs, said: “Wow! Being asked to be "Chair of Judges for the SC Awards for 2025" is a huge honour! SC Magazine, founded in 1989, has been reporting on Information Security before Information Security even really existed in the form we know today.
“This is absolutely a highlight of my 30-year career in cyber security and technology. Thirty-six years of publication it's safe to say the past and present editorial staff have seen it all. I'm delighted to be at the helm to make sure the awards integrity and industry relevance are or paramount importance."
Rodger, CISO at Admiral Insurance, said: "It's an absolute honour to be one of the co-chairs for the SC Awards EU 2025! I still remember attending my first SC Awards nearly 20 years ago, and it's incredible to see how much we've evolved since then.
"We've revamped the categories to make them more relevant to today's cybersecurity landscape and ensure that key suppliers in the market are well-represented, which really helps build credibility. It's been a fantastic journey, and I'm excited to see what this year's awards will bring."
