OneSpan Adds Nok Nok for Full Authentication Suite

The acquisition is expected to support OneSpan's channel partner network by simplifying integration and enhancing customer experience.

OneSpan has acquired Nok Nok Labs to broaden its footprint in the passwordless authentication market.

Blending Nok Nok's software expertise with its own hardware security offerings, the acquisition positions OneSpan to deliver a comprehensive suite of authentication tools for both enterprise and consumer use cases.

According to CRN, by acquiring Nok Nok, a founding member of the FIDO Alliance alongside Apple, Google, and Microsoft, OneSpan aims to lead the industry in deploying FIDO-compliant passwordless solutions.

The acquisition is expected to support OneSpan's channel partner network by simplifying integration and enhancing customer experience.

OneSpan CTO Ashish Jain called this a "pivotal moment" for implementation, saying that while physical security keys are effective in high-security settings like banking, many users prefer software-based alternatives for everyday applications., not just standard-setting.
