Mimecast Recognised for Delivering Email Security at Enterprise Scale

Mimecast lands in the top spot in the Best Email Security Solution category for its AI-driven platform designed to protect organisations against increasingly sophisticated email threats while addressing the continued role of email as the primary entry point for cyberattacks.

Mimecast positions Advanced Email Security as a layered, AI-native platform built to address email's continued role as the leading cyberattack vector. Designed for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and hybrid environments, it combines multi-vector threat protection, sandboxing, social graph anomaly detection and time-of-click URL inspection to stop phishing, BEC, impersonation and zero-day malware. Along with core email defence, Mimecast also offers DMARC, brand protection, collaboration security and rapid API-based deployment without MX record changes.

This broader approach helps organisations consolidate security controls while improving visibility across email and collaboration environments that have become increasingly attractive targets for attackers. The company says it has more than 42,000 customers globally and a 12.2% market share.

Judges described Mimecast as one of the strongest submissions in the category, praising the consistency of its evidence, the maturity of the platform and the depth of independent validation supporting its claims.

“An exceptionally strong, evidence-led entry showing Mimecast as a mature market leader delivering independently validated protection and measurable business value at scale.”

The judging panel highlighted Mimecast’s independently verified performance, noting that the platform achieved Virus Bulletin VBSpam+ certification in every publicly reported test throughout 2024 and 2025. Judges also pointed to reported 100% malware detection rates and zero false positives across those evaluations as powerful evidence of technical effectiveness.
