Research finds 14 percent admitted they haven’t considered the issue at all.
A substantial number of UK organisations are either unaware of the approaching end of support deadline for Windows 10 and Teams Classic, or still lack a concrete transition plan.
According to media reports, research by Cloudhouse found 38 percent of those surveyed reported having a defined migration strategy, while another 30 percent said they are still in the decision-making process.
Also, 14 percent admitted they haven’t considered the issue at all, and 18 percent were completely unaware that support is ending.
Support ends on October 14th, and Mat Clothier, CEO at Cloudhouse, called this “a ticking time bomb for businesses” as “the lack of awareness and preparedness we’re seeing suggests many organisations are sleepwalking into a major security and operational crisis.
“Migrating or managing legacy systems seems complex, but the alternative - running on unsupported platforms - is a direct route to risk exposure, inefficiency, and non-compliance. At this point of heightened cyber threats, the road to compliance is more vital than ever.”
