Jen Easterly said cyber and physical defences are secure for election.
Any potential compromise of the US voting infrastructure has been dismissed by CISA Director Jen Easterly as "near impossible.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency have stressed the robustness of available cyber defences amid concerns regarding foreign and domestic interference in tomorrow’s presidential election, SC US reports
Ahead of the election, the U.S. has bolstered physical defences to ensure the security of ballot boxes, polling places, and election workers, according to Easterly, who noted that worries about election safety have stemmed from disinformation campaigns.
Easterly's statements come as the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, CISA, and the FBI issued a pair of joint alerts debunking videos showing the ripping of ballots in a Pennsylvania county and the purported voting of a Haitian in several counties in Georgia as products of Russian disinformation operations.
