Atos has dismissed claims of a ransomware attack on a database.
In a statement, Atos said an initial analysis shows no evidence of any compromise or ransomware affecting any Atos/Eviden systems in any country, and no ransom demand has been received to-date.
“Nevertheless, Atos takes such allegations very seriously. Its cybersecurity team is actively investigating the situation and updates will be provided if there is any change to the information above.”
A statement released on December 28 acknowledged claims by the Space Bears ransomware group to have compromised an Atos database.
In early December, claims were made of a data breach from Deloitte by another ransomware group named ‘Brain Cipher’. In that case, Deloitte were quick to determine that no systems had been impacted.
