More than half pin attack blame on supply chain.
Research has found that one in seven businesses have lost a day or more to a cyber event in the last 12 months.
According to recent research from QBE, “strategically disruptive” cyber-attacks doubled from 103 in 2020 to 196 in 2024, and are forecast to increase by 20 percent to 233 by the end of 2025.
Among those that experienced cyber attacks, three in five (59 percent) said that at least one of them was linked to a supplier, and almost half (49 percent) suffered a loss of revenue.
When asked about the next 12 months, 69 percent are concerned about cyber threats to their own business (19 percent very and 50 percent somewhat concerned), while 30 percent are not concerned.
