Research: Critical National Infrastructure Lacks Investment

Fewer than a third have confidence in their organisation’s cybersecurity measures.

Around 80 percent of people working in critical industry believe organisations are not investing enough in cybersecurity.

According to research from Ground Control, 62 percent)said they would feel safer knowing that critical national infrastructure had back up satellite communications in the event of a cyber-attack or connectivity failure.

None of the researched sectors scored higher than 31 percent when it came to moderate or full confidence in their organisation’s cybersecurity measures.

Alastair MacLeod, CEO of Ground Control commented: “The latest findings on cybersecurity threats to critical national infrastructure underscore a pressing reality: organisations must rethink their approach to resilience and security. With evidence pointing towards ransomware attacks rising, it is clear that traditional security measures are falling short.”
