The group had made a number of major hits over the last two years.
Operations of the 8Base ransomware gang have been taken down.
Following the sequestration of its leak site as part of a Germany-led international law enforcement effort, which included the participation of 14 other countries, the gang’s operation has been dismantled according to SC US.
The 8Base group had gained notoriety following intrusions against Croatia's Port of Rijeka, major Japanese electric motors and industrial parts manufacturer and distributor Nidec Corporation, the United Nations Development Programme, and East Coast fisheries management organization Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission.
However it’s attacks were observed to have substantially slowed down after the detainment of Phobos administrator Evgenii Ptitsyn late last year.
