The Asian nation is the largest sender of attributable malware.
Around two-thirds of malware was attributable to state-funded attack groups.
According to research from Netskope, 66 percent of the malware targeted at its customers was attributable to APT groups, with North Korea accounting for the largest share of attributed malware attacks, followed by China and Russia.
Currently North Korea seeks financial benefit from its cybercrime, while Russia and China focus on disruption, reflected in a smaller malware footprint, but with high-impact disruption and damage.
