NHS Scotland warns patients of possible future attacks.
NHS Scotland bosses are warning potentially impacted victims to be vigilant to attacks, warning data may be released by attackers.
Following an attack last month, bosses say there is a “significant risk” hackers may release more confidential data on patients.
Attackers INC Ransom posted a message on a dark web blog where it threatened to release three terabytes of stolen data and published a pack of confidential patient information that allegedly includes hospital reports, emails, clinical reports, and document scans.
NHS Scotland advised the public to be alert for any attempts to access their data, or for approaches by anyone claiming to be in possession of either their personal data or NHS data – whether this approach comes by email, telephone, social media or some other means.
