New Action Fraud Service Launch Delayed to Next Year

Replacement set for early 2025.

A launch date for the UK’s new fraud reporting service has been delayed to 2025.

The replacement for Action Fraud was due to be this year, but a launch in April or May 2025 is more likely, according to  the Record.

The new service will aim to provide more intelligence capabilities to police following incidents of fraud, and better communications to victims who report into the platform.

Action Fraud was described as being “not fit for purpose” by the House of Commons Justice Committee.
