M&S expects online disruption to continue throughout June and into July.
M&S has confirmed that its online services will remain disrupted until at least July following last month’s cyber-attack.
The retailer says a gradual restoration of services has begun after the attack initially impacted click-and-collect and contactless payment services. According to BBC News, the company said it expects “online disruption to continue throughout June and into July as we restart, then ramp up operations.”
However, the incident expected to wipe £300 million from this year's profits; about a third of the retailer's annual total. Some of the losses are expected to be covered by cyber insurance, though analysts warn of additional costs such as legal fees and potential regulatory penalties.
