London Branch of Chinese Bank Faces Dilemma Over Stolen Files

A deadline has been set for today for the bank to make the payment.

Ransomware operator Hunters International have claimed to have stolen more than 5.2 million files belonging to the London branch of a Chinese state-owned bank.

According to The Register, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) was hit by the attackers who allegedly stole 6.6 TB of the bank's data, and threatened to publish all of it unless ICBC pays up.

The group has set a deadline of today, September 13th, to release all the data unless demands are met.
