ISC2: UK's Cyber Skills Gap Reduces

Increase in the global workforce gap.


The UK’s cybersecurity workforce shortage is due to decrease, with a predicted drop of almost five percent over the past 12 months.

According to an early look at the 2024 ISC2 Cybersecurity Workforce Study, there are 5.5 million people working in cyber globally, but there is a workforce gap of 4.8 million people around the world - up 19% year-on-year.

In the UK however, the shortfall has reduced since 2023, with it dropping from 367,300 to 349,360.
