Darktrace Expands Threat Detection With Mira Deal

Darktrace says the acquisition will address visibility gaps in encrypted data streams.

Darktrace has acquired Mira Security to strengthen its encrypted traffic visibility and bolster cybersecurity performance across hybrid IT environments.

Mira is known for its encrypted traffic orchestration platform, which intercepts and decrypts SSL/TLS and SSH traffic at scale, enabling secure analysis and re-encryption without degrading performance or requiring significant infrastructure changes, reports SiliconANGLE.

Darktrace stated that the acquisition will address visibility gaps in encrypted data streams without affecting network performance.

"By bringing the Mira Security team's deep expertise into Darktrace, we will be able to accelerate innovation... and unlock even greater security performance," said Phil Pearson, Darktrace's chief strategy officer. This deal marks Darktrace's second acquisition in 2025, following its purchase of Cado Security earlier in the year.
