UK businesses seeing an increase in cyber threats over the last year.
Around half of businesses have experienced a cybersecurity incident in the last year
Research from Cloudflare shows that 70% of UK business leaders expect a cybersecurity incident in the next year, yet only 35% feel prepared for one. The survey of more than 4,000 business and technology leaders across Europe, and 430 in the UK, found the majority (80%) of UK business leaders said the number of cyber incidents has increased in the last 12 months.
Despite the threat, business leaders are optimistic about the increasing influence of cybersecurity, with 44% seeing cybersecurity as a catalyst to modernise the workplace and to enable better cyber risk understanding by the board.
