Six months on from being dismantled.
Dutch authorities have identified 126 local users of the now-defunct hacking forum Cracked.io.
At least 20 individuals summoned and eight facing criminal charges, reports Cybernews, after the forum was dismantled in January 2025.
Dutch police disclosed that some users were minors, the youngest being 11, and many were merely browsing or contributing to discussions. "These platforms may seem 'under the radar,' but... many of these sites and groups are public," the police warned.
Authorities stressed that more countries may pursue similar actions. Although the forum has resurfaced under a new domain, analysts say it is unlikely to regain trust or avoid further takedowns due to past data leaks.
