Rising costs, legacy VPNs, and performance issues main drivers.
Troublesome technology and fears of attacks via gaps in infrastructure are fuelling interest in Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) offerings.
The research from Xalient and surveyed 250 British IT, network and security leaders found that organisations are struggling to keep up with the evolving threat landscape, and this is a primary driver for SASE adoption.
The survey found 85 percent of UK organisations admitted that new cybersecurity threats are taking advantage of gaps in their network, and 79 percent said that recruiting and retaining the specialist security skills they need to protect their organisation from new and growing threats is a key challenge.
These organisational challenges amongst others, are fuelling SASE adoption with the three main business drivers for moving to a SASE solution being: the rising costs of traditional network architecture, a desire to move away from the use of legacy VPNs, and addressing performance issues with business-critical SaaS apps.
