The administrator and developer of the LockBit ransomware group has been named and had travel sanctions placed on him.
Russian national Dmitry Khoroshev has been identified by a global effort, with a $10 million reward offered by US authorities for information leading to his arrest and/or conviction.
Khoroshev, aka LockBitSupp, also had images publicly released of him in the official statement.
After control of LockBit was taken by the UK’s National Crime Agency in February, the NCA and international partners are now in possession of over 2,500 decryption keys and are continuing to contact LockBit victims to offer support.
The Agency has so far proactively reached out to nearly 240 LockBit victims in the UK.
